2011 Honda Insight


Entering the second year since the rebirth of a hatchback 5-door Insight hybrid saw a number of changes. A new base as-yet unnamed model (DX?) Being a leader in value. Compared to the LX, eschews features such as cruise control, security system and rear speakers in the name of affordability. Meanwhile, the LX gains stability control, USB port, cruise control and the center console armrest. EX for added steering-wheel audio controls and floormats. Insight raison d'etre remains the fuel efficiency, with EPA estimates 40 mpg city/43 mpg highway. Honda's Integrated Motor Assist technology does the trick with the mating 1.3 liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an efficient electric motor and continuously variable transmission.
